The Button Dress is the perfect sewing project for your girls age 3 to 12 years. The dress is designed to be made using soft touch jersey fabric, (although all thin to medium weight jersey fabrics can be used). Soft touch jersey gives a gentle touch against sensitive skin.

The Button Dress sewing pattern, can be downloaded as an instant download PDF pattern, or as a paper pattern by post. It features a mock opening with buttons at the front of the bodice, and can be made in short or longer lengths. The dress pattern also has 3 sleeve options – the sleeveless dress, the short sleeved dress and the long sleeved dress.

You Will Need:
For The Longer Dress
Stretch Jersey Fabric, 152cm (60 ins) wide by –
150(150, 175, 175, 175, 200, 200, 200, 225, 225) cm /
1.75(1.75, 2, 2, 2, 2.25, 2.25, 2.25, 2.5, 2.5) yards
For The Shorter Dress
Uses 30 cm less than the the long dress.
3 buttons approx. diameter 18 mm
Matching Polyester Sewing Thread (good quality)
Sewing kit including a zig zag stitch sewing machine, ball point machine needles
and a fabric pen or tailors chalk.
The Paper Sewing Pattern includes making instructions leaflet and will be sent by post – P&P will be added at checkout.

(you can google instructions for opening zipped files on your MAC or PC.)
The zipped file contains 4 PDF files – these are;
1) The pattern in PDF format. You can print this in US Letter size or A4 paper size. You will need to stick the pieces of pattern together. This pattern has the ‘Layers Option’ so you can print out just the size you need.
2) The pattern in A1 or A0 size . This can be printed at your local or online copy shop. You wont need to stick the pattern together as it will be printed on one sheet.
3) The pattern as a projector file – for use with a projector.
4) The Making Instructions which comprise of complete photographic instructions to make the garment. This can also be printed in US Letter size or A4 paper size – however, the photo instructions will be clearer (and you can enlarge them) if you follow them on a laptop or PC.
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to open the pattern files.
