This pattern is for children ages 3 – 12 (10 sizes in all)
Use any woven or jersey fabric – requirements given
below are for each skirt worked using 1 fabric only.
The pattern is suitable for using scraps or
oddments of fabric.
You Will Need
For the 2 panel version
0.75(0.75,0.75,0.85,0.85,0.85,0.85,1.1,1.1,1.1) meters of
ANY light to medium weight fabric. 112 cm (44 in) wide.
For the 4 panel version
0.75(0.75,0.75,0.85,0.85,0.85,0.85,1,1,1)meters of
ANY light to medium weight fabric. 112 cm (44 in) wide.
For the 8 panel version
0.75(0.75,0.75,0.85,0.85,0.85,0.85,1.3,1.3,1.3) meters of
ANY light to medium weight fabric. 112 cm (44 in) wide.
For the Waistband
A piece of 4 way stretch cotton jersey that measures at
least 75 cm (wide) by 30 cm deep (for largest size).
AND
1.5 m x 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide patterned bias binding OR
make your own (instructions given) Sewing kit including
zig zag sewing machine. Matching polyester sewing thread.
Ball point & regular sewing machine needles.
Fine line vanishing fabric marker.
The Paper Sewing Pattern includes making instructions leaflet and will be sent by post – P&P will be added at checkout.

You will receive a zipped file
(you can google instructions for opening zipped files on your MAC or PC.)
The zipped file contains 4 PDF files – these are;
1) The pattern in PDF format. You can print this in US Letter size or A4 paper size. You will need to stick the pieces of pattern together. This pattern has the ‘Layers Option’ so you can print out just the size you need.
2) The pattern in A1 or A0 size . This can be printed at your local or online copy shop. You wont need to stick the pattern together as it will be printed on one sheet.
3) The pattern as a projector file – for use with a projector.
4) The Making Instructions which comprise of complete photographic instructions to make the garment. This can also be printed in US Letter size or A4 paper size – however, the photo instructions will be clearer (and you can enlarge them) if you follow them on a laptop or PC.
You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to open the pattern files.
