The Raleigh Harem Pants and Shorts Pattern –

This sewing pattern includes the long and short harem pants option , TOGETHER WITH  the Harley Joggers, Trousers and shorts pattern with optional loose pocket.

These harem pants  – with the harem shorts option, and the Harley Joggers / Trousers options  – are a perfect easy sewing pattern to create super comfy, super stylish drop crotch pants – often called mc hammer pants.

This is a children’s sewing pattern PDF (not the finished garment) for the kids harem pants.

Sizes

To Fit: 3(4, 5,6,7,8,9,10) years

The Actual Measurements of the pants are;

Waist (which can be altered by adjusting the elastic):

51(52,54,56,57,58,59,61) cm.

20(20.5,21,22,22.5,23,23.5,24) inches

Long length from waist to hem:

54(60,65,70,75,80,85,90) cm

212.5(23.5,25.5,27.5,29.5,31.5,33.5,35.5) inches

Shorts length from waist to hem:

Materials

For the long trousers 1(1,1,2,2,2,2,3) yards of printed fabric from Spoonflower.com as specified on the website at www.ruthmaddockmakes.com(Note: the fabric is sold by the yard—full yards only)

For the Shorts 1(1,1,1,2,2,2,2) yard of printed fabric from Spoonflower.com

OR – 1(1,1,2,2,2,2,3) metre x 142 cm (56 inches) of
medium (approx. 300gsm) weight cotton Jersey with at least 25% stretch.

Sewing kit including straight stitch sewing machine. Matching polyester sewing thread.
Stretch sewing machine needles — change these needles frequently.
Fine line vanishing fabric marker.

This sewing pattern PDF HAS the LAYERS OPTION and includes:
1) The Pattern to print on your home printer using either A4 paper or US Letter Size paper.

2) The Pattern to take to your local printers/copyshop. This pattern is in Black and White and the paper size is A0, A1 or A2 – see the file name for this info.

3) Projector Files

4) The sewing instructions which can be printed on either A4 or US letter size by adjusting your printer paper settings.

All printer settings should be set to 100%.

For the kids harem shorts I used my exclusive cogs themed fabric – available from my shop at Spoonflower HERE – but you can use any stretch (knit) fabric.

Knit fabrics are easy to work with and are a super option for sensory friendly clothing.
