Birdsong: Girls Peter Pan Collar Blouse Sewing Pattern
This is a children’s sewing pattern PDF (not the finished garment) for a girls peter pan collar blouse. The pattern also includes the boys or girls shirt: more details here.
The culottes pattern is available here, and the bonnet pattern is here.
The Birdsong Fabric range is available in my shop at Spoonflower- see fabric buying info on the details tab.
This girls peter pan collar blouse sewing pattern can also be worked as a boys or girls shirt for school or formal occasions. They can also be made with applique bands for a more street-style look. The sewing pattern has an alternative straight collar version. Both can be worked with long or short sleeves. They are great for your sensory child because they are worked with external seams. The front band and cuffs can be fastened with Velcro which is easier for little hands to manage – although buttons can be used.

Features for your Sensory Child
- The seams are worked on the outside so that the inside is smooth and has no scratchy itchy seam allowances or labels.
- The girls Shirt or Blouse can be fastened with Velcro or buttons – your choice.
- To avoid the use of stiff new fabrics and also save the planet make the shirt in recycled fabric (dad or mum’s old shirt or a charity/thrift shop find)
Skill Level
Advanced: This pattern is suitable for experienced sewers who may want to try something a bit more challenging.
